Electric

We are proud of the fact that our rates are among the lowest in the state. Brownsville Energy Authority purchases its electricity from the Tennessee Valley Authority.

 

Water

Our water meets all of EPA s health standards. We have conducted numerous tests for over 80 contaminants that may be in drinking water. We found all of these contaminants at safe levels.View Water Quality Reports

 

Natural Gas

Our natural gas is purchased from the Tennergy Corporation and transported over Texas Gas Pipeline.

 

Pilot Light Policy

Effective November 1, 2022 BEA will provide lighting of pilot for free for the first request during business hours, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. If the customer is not at home or has a second request to have pilot lit or if the customer requests to have pilot lit outside of regular business hours, a fee of $20 will be charged to customer.

Brownsville Energy Authority serves the people of Brownsville and parts of Haywood County with propane utilities.
