For over sixty years, Brownsville Energy Authority has served the people of Brownsville and parts of Haywood County with electricity, water, wastewater, natural gas and propane. We are committed to providing this community with the lowest possible rates and the best possible service. Our employees are constantly undergoing training and attending classes and seminars to keep current with ever increasing certification and license requirements and technological advances. We are proud to say that our rates are among the lowest in the state. Our employees are aware that service to our customers is our most important concern and they always strive to provide that service with courtesy and efficiency.


Electric

We are proud of the fact that our rates are among the lowest in the state. Brownsville Energy Authority purchases its electricity from the Tennessee Valley Authority.

 

Water

Our water meets all of EPA s health standards. We have conducted numerous tests for over 80 contaminants that may be in drinking water. We found all of these contaminants at safe levels.View Water Quality Reports

 

Wastewater

Our employees are aware that service to our customers is our most important concern and strive always to provide that service with courtesy and efficiency.

 

Natural Gas

Our natural gas is purchased from the Tennergy Corporation and transported over Texas Gas Pipeline.
