Welcome to Brownsville Utilities' web site. We
would like to tell you something of our history, the services we offer,
our policies, and our commitments to our customers. For the past fifty-eight
years, Brownsville Utilities has served the people of Brownsville
and parts of Haywood County with electric, water,
wastewater, natural gas and propane utilities.
We are committed to providing this community with the lowest possible rates
and the best possible service. Our forty-six employees are constantly undergoing
training and attending classes and seminars to keep current with ever increasing
certification and license requirements and technological advances. We are
proud of the fact that our rates are among the lowest in the state. Our
employees are aware that service to our customers is our most important
concern and strive always to provide that service with courtesy and efficiency.
This web site will provide you with further information about our policies
and services. Brownsville Utilities purchases its
electricity from the Tennessee Valley Authority. Our natural
gas is purchased from the Tennergy Corporation and
transported over Texas Gas Pipeline.
